Garden Walks 2015 (and prior)
Garden Walk: 8 December 2015
The garden in the second week in December, 2015. Initial impressions evoke absence, the loss of summer's buffet of colors, a landscape hunkering down in preparation for winter. But as one strolls around the garden, there are many moments of grace and unexpected delight. Here are a few of those moments as rendered by my Canon PowerShot. ~Bob
First Garden Walk: November, 2013
These photos were taken in November, 2013--four months before I began working in the garden. Now that two years have elapsed, it seemed an appropriate moment to look back at these snapshots and consider some of the changes that have occurred. ~Bob
Garden Walk after First Snow, November 24, 2015
Garden Walk: August 16, 2015
This slideshow was set up to operate on a 9-second sequence; press the pause button if you wish to stop the slideshow at any time. The thirteen garden bed locations can be located on a schematic drawing on the website's garden map.
Garden Tour in July 2015
These photos from the second week in July are sequenced to show what would be seen entering through the east gate (on 14th street) and exiting through the southwest gate (with a final shot of the garden as seen through the window of the garden shed).
25 June Walk
These photos were shot during an early morning garden walk on Thursday, 25 June. It's intriguing how much the garden has changed since my "photo tour" eight days earlier. The garden is always alive, restless, on the move.
